Why Jalopnik seems to believe it is necessary to continually bash the NSX is beyond me. Sure they might have taken a while to put it into production but they wanted to get it right. Not unlike the beloved LFA I might add. Furthermore on top of that it is one of the few cars utilizing hybrid technology to move the sports car world forward.
Sorry rant over. But it would be nice to see a little objective journalism instead of stating they have an opinion of the car before they even drive it.

Nope. The fact that Honda spent 3-5 years developing it has a major effect on my life, even though it has no effect on my life whatsoever. Furthermore, when I complained that Honda wasn’t making fun cars, I didn’t actually mean that they should make a fun car. It was more fun just pointing and laughing at them.

The world is a salty place now. I only REALLY noticed it with the Destiny subreddit. And then I noticed it in the newspaper, at work, and even on Oppo, then the FP. Hating on stuff and complaining for silly reasons is the new black.

The blue’s not bad under good lighting. Wish it was a tad brighter though.

I do agree they’re overly-bashy of it, but in regards to your comparison to the LFA in terms of timetable, the difference is Lexus didn’t say every two years “hey, guys! It’s totally coming out next year!” I think that’s why there are so many jokes about the NSX.

It’s not a Mazda, Volvo, or Ford ST/RS, so the FP could give less of a shit.
Sucks, really.

I can’t say I’m the biggest fan of the front end, but I absolutely love all the tech they put in it.

The problem is they spent years and years and years to come out with something entirely underwhelming.
Kind of like the LFA, which is a mediocre supercar that I’ve heard little praise for that isn’t based on how it sounds.

True but honestly is it that big of a deal? Automakers have set backs and when they do we wait a little longer with bated breath for the final product

I don't think it is that underwhelming it is a super car that can go 60 miles an hour in well under 4 seconds. What more could you want?

0-60 and straightline speed literally don’t matter
why do people think it matters

I agree but to quote a cars preformace it’s usually the first thing people being up. It's a metric to gauge the competition

There’s a difference between a car being pushed back two years and a car being pushed back two years then two years then two years then two more years...

An Audi S6 can go 0-60 in 3.9 seconds. With AWD, Launch Control, and quick-shifting autos, 0-60 times aren’t what they used to be.

I think it’s because hating something, in the mind of those people, implies that you’re just too refined and sophisticated for such base pursuits.

I’ll lead off by admitting that I haven’t driven one and will probably never drive one. However, I have gotten real close to one, and it just doesn’t do it for me. Honestly it looks like a competitor to an RCF than anything in the six figure stratum.
Performance wise, sure it’s probably blistering in the sixty sprint, but so are a bunch of cars that are much cheaper and arguably also faster in every other area due to weight.
Honda has publicly stated that this car isn’t about the numbers and that’s fair. This car is about getting a taste of a Porsche 918 at a fraction of the cost. That may be appealing to some, but not to me. I’m a weirdo who’d rather have a Viper ACR.

I think the technology at the price point is a very important selling factor

I’m positive it is a key factor. Just not one I’m interested in.
